Payout
Bitcoin address
Where a block this gateway finds pays what the pool's split leaves; the whole reward when not pooled.
Miner usernames
sent to the pool as the payout address
sent to the pool as worker names under the address above
kept private
What the pool receives as each share's username.
Coinbase tag
Written into the coinbase after the pool's tag; block explorers show it.
Unique gateway ID
0 to 65535, different for every gateway with the same coinbase tag.
Pool
Reward sharing
require (pooled mining only)
prefer (non-pooled when the pool is unreachable)
never (non-pooled only)
Pooled: the pool sets the payout split and every block is shared. Non-pooled: only a block this gateway finds pays, to the address above.
Host
Port
Public key
The pool's 128-hex-digit key; a connection to a host with another key is refused.
Web page
Optional; the status and miner pages link the host to it.
Version 3 protocol
Send the version 3 hello: the pool holds the XOR key that hides block hashes and submits the blocks (anti-block-withholding). A pool that answers with a version 1 configuration runs the session under version 1.
Gateway fee
Fee (basis points)
0 to 10000; one share in every 10000 / fee is credited to the fee address instead of the miner. Requires usernames sent as the payout address.
Fee address
Empty: the Bitcoin address above.
Stratum
Port
Minimum difficulty
A power of two; the lowest difficulty vardiff assigns a miner.
Fingerprint miners
Apply the known workaround for the miner a user agent names: a NiceHash client is held at difficulty 524288 or above. Every miner receives the same coinbase.
Require an address as the username
A miner whose username is not a payable address is refused.
Node
Job update interval
5 to 120 seconds between template refreshes; 40 suggested.

Empty with a cookie file (bitcoind.rpccookiefile) in the file.
